One issue with looking at Ontario's GDP growth is that the province has relatively high population growth due to immigration. So what is going on per capita sometimes is even more interesting. On
wikipedia, there's some 2008 numbers for the provinces. Ontario's was $45,194 which compares favourably to Quebec's $39,057 and similar to BC's $45,103. However Alberta's at $81,188 and Saskatchewan's $64,534 dwarfs Ontario's, no doubt helped by strong commodity prices. Since these are 2008 numbers, and Ontario's anemic growth since then I'm wondering when Alberta's number will end up being twice that of Ontario.
