The Spec has an article about the man suspected of stabbing Charles Jankevicius, Richard Jessop. What I did find most interesting was these paragraphs:
"According to a 2011 Spectator story, Jessop (then 27) was sentenced to 17 months in jail two years ago, after he was found in a U-Haul truck filled with stolen Canadian Tire barbecues and lawn mowers.
He has a previous manslaughter conviction and a lengthy record of criminal convictions and probation breaches."
Talk about burying the lede. Previous manslaughter conviction. That might be something to highlight more.
Speaking of Richard Jessop, I found a Facebook profile that might be his, although I'm not exactly sure whether it is or not. I'm sure you can find it yourself if you're interested.
