I'm not sure how this plan of NDP leader Andrea Horwath's to cut Ontario auto insurance rates by 15% is going to be implemented if new premier Kathleen Wynne agrees to it, as part of Horwath's ask for NDP support in the minority legislature. After all they are private companies that provide the insurance.
Not bad as political theatre. Auto insurance is expensive in Ontario, and it appeals to the middle class. Doesn't raise the deficit. How it would work? Who knows?
