There's the sunshine data and analysis for 2010 for the City of Hamilton here and the City of Toronto here. One anomaly is that for Hamilton, 216 people on the list have "Firefighter" in their job title while only 12 do in Toronto.
With Toronto being a much bigger city by population, this seems pretty odd. Are there a lot of firefighters hiding somewhere else on the list without "firefighter" in the title? Does Toronto do a fantastic job with overtime while Hamilton does an especially poor job, driving many over the $100,000 mark?
I'm not really sure, however for the 2009 list for Hamilton, there's only a single firefighter on the list? What happened? A giant increase in salary? A lump sum payment for that year? I have no idea, but it is certainly odd.
