After a relatively high level of murders last year Hamilton already has its first of 2014 early on New Year's Day. A 23 year old male in the Barton and Sherman area of a gunshot wound to the head. Police at this time haven't released a next of kin.
Perhaps last year's high number wasn't an anomaly.
